Full Time HVAC Technician

Essential Technical Knowledge Required:

  • Basic refrigeration cycles including:
  • Identifying components in a refrigeration circuit;
  • Diagnosing problems relating to refrigeration circuits;
  • Ability to use manifold gauge set and temperature measuring devices for troubleshooting and routine maintenance
  • Basic heating cycles including the theory of combustion and its relation to combustible fuels.
  • Electron theory including the ability to read advanced wiring theory. Must also be able to troubleshoot advanced electrical circuits.
  • The fundamentals of temperature and humidity measurement and control in air conditioning units.
  • The process of treating air in order to simultaneously control its temperature, humidity, cleanliness and distribution.
  • The basics of multiple systems and how each component within each system troubleshooting and routine maintenance.

Essential Daily Job Duties And Responsibilities:

  • During and or at the end of each task complete all company provided forms to the fullest extent possible.
  • Responsible for time management of jobs scheduled each day.
  • Check in with client at the beginning and end of each task.
  • Ensure all materials used for each task are listed properly on the company provided forms.
  • Assist on job sites with other technicians as needed.
  • Answer all office pages/calls in a timely manner.
  • Secure parts and tools needed throughout the day for various jobs as required.
  • Call in repairs to the estimator or field supervisor and provide the necessary info needed to quote the repair, and fill out the appropriate quote forms as required.
  • Consult office in times of uncertainty.

Essential Overall Job Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to build client confidence in company.
  • Responsible for the daily preparation of the parts and tools for each day’s activities.
  • Complete work in a timely manner.
  • Participate in company internal meetings as required.

Education And Work Experience:

  • Must have an Apprentice License and Certification and at least six (6) months of trade-related work experience
  • OR
  • Any similar combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • Manufacturers equipment certifications

Salary: Hourly based on experience.
